Dear Patrons,
We are pleased to announce that pruning on Land 6 has been successfully completed.
Location of Land 6: Rwanda, 724+ CHC Mugambazi (Google Plus code)
Total saplings planted: 28,500
Total eucalyptus saplings: 99% of planted trees
Pruning workers: 6 people
Duration of pruning: 12 days
The saplings are predominantly eucalyptus (99%), and with the completion of pruning, they are now healthier, stronger, and better prepared for sustained growth.
During the pruning process, workers carefully trimmed the lower branches and any damaged or weak growth from each sapling. This helps improve air circulation, reduces competition for nutrients, and encourages the trees to develop stronger trunks and a more balanced canopy. The work was done methodically to ensure minimal stress to the young trees and to support their long-term growth.
We thank all RWAYDAVO volunteers and community leaders for their invaluable support. Please see the attached photos capturing moments during the pruning activities. We will continue with maintenance, including watering, mulching, and soil care, to ensure the long-term growth of the trees. Your continued support and donations are essential for sustaining this project.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana
President, RWAYDAVO
