By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy. | I.A.A Director/Project Leader.

TRAINING ON NURSERY MANAGEMENT; AGROFORESTRY TECHNIQUES AND HOW TO NURSE AND TRANSPLANT VEGETABLES SEED AND TREES.
Integrated Agricultural Association trained 127 people from the 8th to the 9th of April 2024 in Koudoum, West region of Cameroon. Women and men participated actively during lectures and learned by doing in setting up a nursery bed, filling up polyurethane bags with soil, placing Moringa seeds in nursery bags and will continue until 15000 Agroforestry trees (fruit trees like mango, avocado, ngwava, orange, pawpaw, and cash crops like Moringa, Cocoa and Njansa are nursed and planted by smallholder farmers on their farms). 127 participants were mobilized from the Fulani community, Internally Displaced community and Bamoun community living in Koudoum village. IAA is fostering positive relationships between IDPs and the host community of Foumban by collaborating with all stakeholders and community leaders to promote inclusive humanitarian and economic empowerment to fight hunger and malnutrition through sustainable agriculture. During the workshop, IAA agreed with the participants to create a village level cooperative to facilitate development and create marketing opportunities for farmers in the area. Over 81% participants were women.
Integrated Agricultural Association has developed a nursery with capacity of 15,000 trees to promote regenerative agriculture and agroforestry in the area. The financial goal is $25000 and IAA has raised $276 through globalgiving and will appreciate your continued support and donation through globalgiving. We are excited you are part of our donor and support team, your commitment in supporting IAA ensures that we plant more trees, restore degraded farms and increase food security and poverty reduction for over 30000 people in Foumban.
