Can you make your school 100% Wild? That's the question we asked kids across Bihar through radio and TV. Then, to make the challenge real and really green, organic farmers, beekeepers, clean energy entrepreneurs, visited schools to inspire kids to complete the enterprise challenge. And their visits made all the difference. 12,000 kids completed the eight-step school enterprise plan, we have 103 finalists, from organic farms at school to wild honey. Support a school enterprise today!
Children in Government Secondary Schools in India are not yet learning how to become entrepreneurs while they are in school. While large skills at schools projects are working to change that, giving children a chance to action enterprise ideas at school is the missing piece. How do you teach children to become entrepreneurs? It's a global discussion. How can you try to give kids an experience of running a sustainable enterprise at school? Ask them what problem they'd like to solve at school.
We asked kids, "How can you make your school 100% Wild?" Supporting the outreach in schools, organic farmers, clean energy, recycling entrepreneurs visited 1,000 schools to talk to kids about what 'going green means' & how to design a sustainable enterprise plan. Kids met real entrepreneurs and as result we received over 12,000 school enterprise plans! The project helped to solve the problem by bringing entrepreneurs to schools and inspiring kids to make school-enterprise plans.
50 schools that on average have 1,000 to 3,000 kids enrolled, will receive grants to action kids sustainable enterprise plans to make their schools go green! A total of 50,000 kids will be directly impacted and a wider audience of kids will see these winning stories on local TV and be inspired to turn their schools into green places too!
