In 2024, we celebrate our 10th anniversary by expanding support to 50 families, thanks to our donor community's unwavering support. With a lean team of 3 employees, we maintain low overhead costs while ensuring high-quality service. To extend our impact, we will establish "BEF 2" in Tanahun, 30 kms from Pokhara, focusing on areas with significant needs. This branch will employ former beneficiaries, fostering a sustainable empowerment cycle. We aim to crowdfund a pickup truck for efficiency.
We want to expand our impact while maintaining the integrity of our service model with minimal overhead costs. Establishing "BEF 2" in Tanahun to support an additional 50 families requires essential infrastructure, such as a pickup truck for efficient supply distribution. The high cost of vehicles in Nepal, due to steep import taxes, presents a financial hurdle, necessitating innovative fundraising solutions. Reaching 45,000 goal through crowdfunding is a significant challenge in itself.
To address our challenges, we are leveraging our dedicated donor community through a targeted crowdfunding campaign to acquire a pickup truck. This vehicle is crucial for the effective operation of "BEF 2" in Tanahun, enabling efficient delivery of food and supplies to 50 additional families. Operating from a small rented office and storeroom minimizes infrastructure costs while enhancing our capacity to support more vulnerable families, whereas the vehicle will be a valuable asset.
Our long-term impact focuses on supporting 100 families annually across two branches while maintaining our lean operational model to maximize direct beneficiary impact. Establishing "BEF 2" in Tanahun shows our commitment to underserved communities, especially in slums. Acquiring the pickup truck and employing former beneficiaries will empower mothers and children towards self-sufficiency and poverty alleviation. This expansion broadens our humanitarian footprint and ensures ongoing support.
