Since 2018 September, after the devastating typhoon landed Philippine, the Mustard Seed Mission devotes to restoring the lives of the 1250 families in Baggao and Solana. During different recovery phases, the organization first provided supplies to the victims and made sure them would not suffer from hunger.
Later on, when the reconstructions moved on, the Mustard Seed Mission cooperates with local institute and churches to provide livelihood enhancement grants to the locals as a direct assistance to restart their livelihood.
At present, the two disaster areas have already got back on track. New crops are planted and harvested, thus the climate is still the main key affecting the harvest. Moreover, during this period of time, we found out that children’s education expense is a great burden for the parents when they need to work really hard to maintain the basic needs of the family. Furthermore, it takes a long drive for children to go to school, the transportation expense causes the family’s extra financial burden. From April to May, the local team evaluates children’s needs; the Mustard Seed Mission will provide transportation expenses for children in the new semester in June. The Mustard Seed Mission aims to support local children to continue their education and achieve the SDGs. (Sustainable Development Goals)
We would like to express great gratitude to all the partners, donors, and sponsors that get involved in this project, the fundraising goal is achieved and this fundraising project will be closed. We will keep on working on the recovery and believe that Philippine will recover step by step because of your support and caring.
