PAUD St. Yoseph Ndewu was established in 2017 to provide early childhood education for children in the Paga sub-district, Sikka Regency, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. School learning took place at the Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Center) for almost three years.
Then, when the Posyandu was renovated in 2020, the school moved to the building made by parents and the local community. This building is semi-permanent and has a bamboo wall, a zinc roof, and a concrete floor. However, it needs more basic amenities, leaving children sitting on the floor without a table during lessons.
A turning point arrived in 2023, as Happy Hearts Indonesia stepped in. We could provide two classrooms with proper furniture and one lavatory facility with your generous support.
Now, 28 children can learn comfortably in suitable seating arrangements that contribute to a conducive learning and playing environment. The new building has made everyone get more excited about learning and teaching.
The school community felt motivated and responsible for taking care of the new resources. PAUD St. Yoseph Ndewu has become a better learning place with support from generous people like you.
Your continued help can create an even greater impact for children throughout Indonesia. Thank you for providing a safe school building for children and the community.
Sincerely,
Happy Hearts Indonesia
