Thank you so much for your support of the La Gonave Community Leadership & Development Center! Here's where things stand with the project:
Over the last few months, Rasin Devlopman, Roots, and Moun Studio, the architectural firm, have worked together to select an engineering and construction firm. The plan is to start construction on the foundation for the building before the end of the year.
We recently hosted a presentation for partners and donors to the leadership center, with the Rasin team, the architect, and the engineer present to answer any questions and address concerns.
Even with the ongoing security challenges in Haiti, we think it is vital that we begin construction on the building, to show our commitment to the project to the residents of La Gonave. Our team has a plan to work through and around the challenges of infrastructure construction in Haiti and is ready to begin the work.
