Educate rural less privileged children of Indian Community. Psycho Educational Society under its mission and objectives is committed to work for the development of Indian less privileged rural community. Under this mission PES has taken up the projects to educate children from less privileged section of rural India in BDP School, Barauli, Block Baldeo, Distt. Mathura, UP, India.
Purpose of the Project
The project is to give education to children of rural Indian community and motivate their parents to send their children to school. To make them aware about the importance of education in the development of overall personality to its potential of their children and to make them useful, responsible citizens of India alongwith this, the development of Indian villages were also be done.
Current Situation
The population of Indian villages especially less privileged section who are living under BPL conditions cannot afford educational expenses of their children and do not give priority to educate them. Sizeable percentage of rural children does not come to school and even those who are coming to school do not carry on higher education. The percentage of children becomes less as they go to higher classes. This result in under developed children and their potentials also remain undeveloped. They are not well qualified to get any job or work in private/semi-government/government establishments. They are mostly confined to lower category jobs or labour jobs in villages or small towns.
What we did to improve the situation
We surveyed the families of rural less privileged communities make the parents aware about the importance of education of their children and persuaded them to send them to school. We give them value added education, develop them to their potential and further motivate them to go to higher education. PES in its managed BDP School teaches the students from nursery to class VIII alongwith training in skills to generate money during their educational program. After passing out from the school we motivate them to go to higher education. Those who cannot afford the educational expenses on the basis of the merit, we give them scholarships for higher education in other schools and monitor their performance and achievements. Thus this is a step to educate the children and develop their overall personality from less privileged community. This year (2015-2016) 400 students (55% girls and 45% boys) are being educated from classes nursery to class VIII standard.
Results
So far about 600 children have passed out class VIII in last 15 years and have gone for higher education or have taken up small jobs. Every year we educate 400 such children in the various classes starting from Nursery to class VIII alongwith the value added educational programmes such as computer education for both boys and girls, tailoring and handicrafts. Students also take part in music extracurricular activities, games, histrionics and debates. Students practice, and are exposed to various activities which are necessary for the development of their personality. A solid foundation is laid in the students who passed out Class VIII from BDP School. Village development automatically is done as its population becomes educated and their financial position improves.

There donations makes it possible to happen this, without which it would not have been possible. The funds received from donors are utilized to meet the deficit of salary and wages to staff and teachers. The part of money is spent in the various other educational programmes for students during the year.
