This project is a transformative project aimed at empowering women with sustainable farming skills to combat climate change and food insecurity. Through hands-on training in permaculture, we will equip 1,000 women with knowledge to build resilient communities. Your support will help us provide demonstration permaculture garden and workshops, enabling women to lead in regenerative agriculture and create lasting environmental impact.
Despite growing threats of climate change, land degradation, and food insecurity, many rural women lack access to training in sustainable practices like permaculture. This limits their ability to adapt, build resilient livelihoods, and contribute to local food systems. There is an urgent need to raise awareness and build women's capacity in regenerative agriculture to restore ecosystems, boost food production, and support community wellbeing.
This project will deliver workshops and establish a demonstration garden to teach 1,000 rural women in Botswana key permaculture skills-soil regeneration, composting, water conservation, and organic food production. Using a zone-based design, the garden will serve as a hands-on learning space, empowering women to build climate-resilient, self-sustaining food systems tailored to their homes and communities.
This project will boost food security, climate resilience, and economic empowerment for 1,000 women through permaculture. Women will grow nutrient-rich food, restore ecosystems, and launch small agro-enterprises. As local leaders, they'll train others, influence policy, and inspire youth-especially girls-to engage in sustainable farming, ensuring generational knowledge transfer and long-term climate justice.
