This year’s Period Palooza was more than a celebration of menstrual equity—it was a powerful response to urgent humanitarian needs. In the aftermath of recent hurricanes, the Fihri Foundation mobilized with purpose, partnering with students from Northeastern University and several mission-aligned businesses to provide essential menstrual care kits to affected communities in the southern United States.

Together, we assembled and delivered hundreds of sustainable period kits, which were sent to two critical locations: the Kindness Closet in North Carolina and a medical facility in St. Petersburg, Florida. These donations ensured that people displaced or impacted by the storms would still have access to menstrual health resources—dignity shouldn’t be a casualty of disaster.

We’re especially proud of the leadership and compassion shown by the Northeastern student team, whose energy and creativity helped bring Period Palooza to life. Through collaborative fundraising, community engagement, and hands-on assembly events, they played a vital role in making this outreach possible.

Period Palooza is a reminder that when we come together—students, businesses, and nonprofit leaders—we can transform a moment of crisis into an opportunity for solidarity and impact. Fihri remains committed to supporting vulnerable populations with empathy, equity, and action.
