Perempuan Inovasi (Women of Innovation) empowers underprivileged women across Indonesia with digital and 21st-century skills to overcome gender barriers in STEM and access better employment opportunities. Through inclusive training, mentorship, and scholarships, we help women become confident creators of technology-driven solutions to social challenges.
Millions of women in Indonesia are excluded from the digital economy-not because of lack of talent, but because of limited access, gender bias, and financial barriers. Women make up only a small portion of the STEM workforce, while many come from communities where digital education, mentorship, and career pathways are simply out of reach. At the same time, Indonesia faces a growing demand for digital talent, leaving women behind in jobs, income, and future opportunities.
Perempuan Inovasi directly bridges this gap by selecting and training women from underserved backgrounds through an inclusive digital bootcamp. The program combines practical digital skills, mentorship, and confidence-building-so participants don't just learn, but are prepared to apply their skills in real life. Through structured learning, feedback sessions, and Demo Day presentations, women gain the tools, networks, and self-belief needed to enter digital careers or continue their education.
By investing in women's digital skills today, this project creates long-lasting change for families, communities, and Indonesia's economy. Graduates gain improved employability, higher income potential, and leadership confidence. Over time, Perempuan Inovasi helps reduce gender inequality in STEM, builds a sustainable pipeline of women digital talent, and empowers women to become innovators who design solutions for social and gender-based challenges in their own communities.
