Challenge

The project’s dual objective is to practically promote a high-level tourism product diversification by fighting poverty and unemployment in Kenya through Cultural immersion Tourism promotion and Fair trade Networks. This will be realized by promoting greater cross-cultural understanding and International cooperation between peoples. The project has links with close to 50 skilled artisan groups in association or cooperatives. Groups range between 15-50 people with 70% of the members being women.

Solution

Enhance research, increase awareness and need for natural and cultural assets conservation promoting responsible tourism, dissemination, evaluation and sharing the same with development community-

Long-Term Impact

Develop artisan skills, improve market access and environmental practices, help beneficiaries overcome exploitation, provide alternative employment and income generating opportunities for local communities
