Slum Girls Face Barriers to Education and Safety

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your interest in the Pen is Mightier than Sword: Educate 500 Slum Girls project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned education support has not yet begun.

Across many slum communities, girls continue to face serious barriers to education. Poverty, unsafe environments, and social pressures push many out of school and into child labor or early marriage.

Without access to education, these girls miss the chance to build basic literacy, life skills, and confidence needed for a better future. This leaves them at risk of remaining in cycles of poverty.

This project is designed to support 500 girls with tuition, uniforms, books, and mentorship. It will also provide safe learning spaces and guidance to help them stay in school and continue their education.

With the right support, these girls can return to school, develop useful skills, and work toward more stable and independent lives.

We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this project can begin and reach girls who need access to education.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
Project Leader
