Dear Donors,
Your support of Pedal Power for Kenyan Education is helping students get back to academics now that schools have reopened. St Peter’s Secondary School and St. Mathias have each received 25 bicycles, helmets, safety vests and tool kits. These will be loaned to students who travel long distances, especially those who had dropped out of school. Because of the access to bicycles some students have decided to reenroll in school, which is very exciting.
Word of the bicycle program has spread and several other schools have requested this successful program, which has now purchased 100 bicycles and accessories.
Grow Against Poverty’s efforts have been recognized by the Busia County Government. Kenyan national TV covered the presentation of the bicycles to the schools.
Thanks again for your donations.
Regards,
Grow Against Poverty USA and Kenya
