Dear Friends of Fondwa and the APF Clinic:
We hope this report finds you well, and navigating the many challenges the world has for us in these complicated times. Here in the mountains of rural Haiti, we continue to provide access to healthcare to many who would not have it otherwise.
In the first quarter we had 222 visits:
The clinic addressed a wide range of cases in the first quarter -- Emergencies, Gastritis, Gastroenteritis, Genital and Urinary Infections, Diabetes, Pruritic Dermatoses, Severe Phimosis Hypertension, Colic in Children, Acute Respiratory Infections, Conjunctivitis, Scalp Ringworm (Tinea Capitis), Anemia, Tonsillitis, Moderate Acute Malnutrition, Muscular Pain, Psychotic Disorders, and Abscess.
Additionally, vaccination takes place on the first, second, and third Thursday of each month, and we use the gathering opportunity to raise awareness among parents on useful topics. This quarter, we discussed:
As we say in Haiti, "we are here." We are putting one foot in front of another, and continuing the important services the residents of Fondwa need. The clinic remains open 24/7, and if we cannot address the situation, we refer patients to a more advanced treatment clinic. We could not do this without your faithful contributions.
With Gratitude,
Dr. M. Louinise Randiche, Ms. Kerline Thermozier
