In partnership with the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), IBREA Foundation will create a social model for peaceful living, through working with two rural areas in Heredia Costa Rica. Through providing brain-based holistic education to a focal group in each community, IBREA aims to establish the foundation for that process. Participants will go through a process of healing their body&mind to unleash their natural tendency for harmonious living & take action to make it a reality.
There is a need for harmonious living in every corner of the world. Our goal is to create a model in Costa Rica that can be replicated elsewhere.The populations of the 2 selected rural areas where we will develop and test our model have a high degree of stress and tension in the community. Their geographical isolation, scarce opportunities for employment, the lack of community initiatives, and a generalized low self-esteem, are some of the factors that are contributing to this situation.
Together with the National University of Costa Rica, IBREA will help a process of strengthening their value and identity to generate strategies of integration among the inhabitants, enhance and belief in themselves and their wisdom and encourage their joint efforts to fully utilize their natural and human resources for the health, happiness and peace of the whole community. The project includes a research component to measure and evaluate the community's development and take corrective measures.
Through the education provided by IBREA, participants will discover their great value and their commonalities beyond their differences. Participants learn this through their own experience, and therefore the insight they gain is real. The program also encourages continued action to benefit their community in order to enhance such insights or realizations, thus making their changes stronger and sustainable in time. This will gradually create harmony in the community - to be measured by research.
