Plans now are underway to host a full day Water Security training at Waterkeeper Alliance’s Regional Summit this November in Kenya.
The much anticipated training will be led by EcoPeace Middle East. EcoPeace is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists. Their Program on Water Security offers a model for environmental peacebuilding that builds the capacity of stakeholders to help establish much-needed relationships of cooperation and trust at the community level on issues pertaining to water and the environment. The Program on Water Security was awarded the 2017 Prize for Innovation in Global Security by the Geneva Center for Security Policy.
Currently, over 25 participants representing 12 countries have registered for the training including representation from: Australia, England, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Kenya, Mali, Mexico, Nigeria, Senegal, Sweden, Uganda, and the United States.
We couldn't have done this without your support. We will keep you posted and will send another update in three months.
