In October Peace School started training course for new group of children from Kyiv schools and region. During last 2 month (October – November) we held two lessons for children.
First lesson was held in Kyiv School #211. Kids visited Peace Museum created by efforts of pupils and teachers of School #211. After that they participated in the training lesson. Children were inspired by their visit to the Peace Museum. They found out a lot of interesting facts about peace issues in Ukraine and other countries.
Next lesson was held in November in the Kyiv House for Children and Youth. During the training children study how to resolve the conflicts, create peace and harmony in relationships with different people.
“All World for Peace!”
On September 20, 2018, UPF Ukraine held the 5th Junior Ambassadors for Peace Congress “All World for Peace!” dedicated to the International Day of Peace. The event gathered all Peace School participants and partners: pupils and their parents, teachers, educators, representatives of Ukrainian NGO and state institutions. All together about 450 people was in attendance.
We are planning to spread Peace School activities to Zhytomyr and Chernihiv regions. Representatives from these two cities also came to the Congress.
The event was held on the territory of the National Museum of Ukrainian History in the World War II. It is a beautiful place on the hill with a great view of Kyiv city. The weather was sunny and warm.
Before the official part of the Congress children showed two beautiful performances on the square in front of the Museum. First was "Dance of Peace" – simple but beautiful dance with multicolored ribbons and balloons. After that was a heart-touching performance "Angels over Ukraine" directed by well-known Lviv artist Levko Skop. Together with the students-volunteers from Japan and South Korea, children cut out angels from the colored paper, brought them the museum hall and created a special artistic installation. On the boards nearby children and guests wrote their wishes for the Day of Peace.
37 children who actively participated in Peace School during last school year received the Junior Ambassador of Peace Certificate. They read the Promise of the Junior Ambassadors of Peace, promising to continue to spread out the culture of peace in society and the world. Representatives from different countries sent their video-congratulations on the Day of Peace for Ukrainian children. These videos were showed on the Congress.
The Congress concluded with signing the Peace Resolution and ringing in the Bell of Peace. It sounded in the Congress hall as a symbol of peace, friendship and fraternity of all people and nations.

3 month Report on Peace School activity
On May 23, 2018 was held a final Peace School lesson in 2017-2018 school year. 30 children from 15 schools of Kyiv came to the lesson together with the teachers.
Children presented the results of their research about the one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030. Each school chose one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and asked to find solutions to the world problems according to the each Goal. It was a final task for children in order to graduate from the Peace School.
The meeting was attended by the UPF Ambassadors for Peace from Japan Mrs. Omori Nobuko. Mrs. Nobuko supports the Peace School Project from its very beginning. She was very happy to see that Peace School are growing and developing.
Representatives of the each school received “Service for Peace“ Certificate from the UPF marking their hard work in Peace School during this academic year.
In the end of the meeting participants shared their impressions and discussed the plans for Peace School activities in the next school year.
Children shared that their participation in Peace School Project was inspiring, interesting and full of joy. They expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers. During this year, children learned a lot about the peace issues in Ukraine and in the world. They want to share these knowledges with others, practice it in their daily life and become peacemakers in the family, society and the world.
During last 3 month (February – April) we held 5 Peace School lessons for children.
February 22, March 21, April 14 was help at Kyiv Teacher House for all school participants and two was held by schools for their pupils.
On February 22 was present officials from Zhytomyr city where we planning open Peace School projects. They learn, observe and now planning practical steps for implementation project. Before we held Peace School lessons only in Kyiv. But now we want to develop and we are planning to spread Peace School activities in Zhytomyr.
First of March one lessons was held in Kyiv School ORT #141. Topic was “ I am learning to understand others”. It was special lesson because middle school students held it by themselves for the middle school children. This was according with our goal that participants for Peace School base on own experience could be able hold trainings for classmates.
Kyiv school #85 on May 16, 2018 organized Peace School meeting on format of “debates” . From several others school pupils was able to participate at meeting as well. Children learn how during discussion be confident in own opinion and learn skill to listen to others.
All the children were inspired. They want to study, communicate and learn how to build peace all over the world.
On January 17 year 2018, was held meetint at Peac School at the Kyiv City Teacher's House. The meeting was attended by about fifty young Ukrainian activists and two volunteers from Japan. The topic of the meeting was very relevant in our time: "The Peace depends on us." In the course of the practical exercises, young people were able to acquire knowledge, skills and skills in solving various conflict situations in relations with people. As the participants of the event themselves noted, it was very important to learn how to choose the exit strategy, which would really help to resolve it. The youth remained very grateful for the opportunity they were given to learn to communicate more effectively with other people, to demonstrate their skills in peacekeeping activities, to form their universal values, to cultivate a desire to serve the world and care not only for their loved ones but also for others. Participants also came to the conclusion that peace can not be built on its own, that this requires the aspirations and actions of each of us, and only in this way can a culture of peace be created on our planet.
