Acacia Trees 4 years old
We are are happy to have some updated fotos of trees planted with our Massai partners in 2018. They are growing well despite the ongoing challenging drought situations. We are told that the polymer anto drought treatment we employed is indeed help[ing the trees to withstand the lack of rain.
We will be following up on this French product and finding ways to increase its use with further tree planting int he region.
We will be sending additional funds in 2023 to support purchase of more trees fromn local nurseries in Nairobi. The families are particularly interested in planting fruit trees.
And as usual, we a;ways believe in fair pay for gorwing the new forests. Sponsorship money to pay local people for the tree care is very important as we can see he growth of the trees only with follow up management. Its the only way the trees actually grow.
Thank you for all your support. We look for long term results.

How to stop the drought in Africa

water equals LIFE
We are all concerned about the alternating flooding and drought conditions we are consiustly seeing across our planet. No one is safe and we have to act nopw to repair our broken hydrological cycle. Our Massai partners astern Kenya, Africa are here to be the exmple of what can be ccomplished with biodioverse tree planting. The trrees themselves becomne recyle the rain when it falls and actually help to produce more rain for the region. Trees cool off the water vapor and evo-transpire cool cumulous clouds which are more stable and can drop balanced rain instead of the flooding downpourtas which in turn deprive other areas of steady and predictable rainfall. We need healthy rainfall to grow our food and replenish our potable drinking water reservoirs. Trees are the best "rainmakers" that simultaneously give so many other benefots like good for humans and animals, shade, lower temperatures and healthy soils.
We truly value our planting partners in Kenya especially the leader,Dalmas, who is our primary contact and helps us to distribute the trees each year and the fair pay for families planting and tending them to maturity. We never ask anyone to work for free because creating jobs is part of the sucess of long term forest restoration and regeneration of healthy economic and ecological systems.
We more forward to sending more money soon for planting more trees with families in Enkutoto Nahalala.

We LOVE Trees in Kenya

The Tree Team in Kenya
The drought continues in Kenya and through the green belt of Africa which is a huge motivator for the Massai communities to continue to plant trees. The valley where we collaborate with clans in Enkutoto Nahalala is special because it still offers a somewhat healthy habitat with some trees to create shade and activate the water cycle. Purchasing fruit trees from small nurseries in nearby Nairobi has proven successful when we give them directly to families and pay themt oc are for the trees aroudn their homes. It is necessary to water them regularly after planting and this is par tof the work we like to pay the women to execute.
Rains are starting in Kenya and we will be supporting the trees we already planted together as well as organizing to plant more this year 2022. Hopefully the long rains will nourtish them and give them a good start for our growing silvo pastoral systems there.
We hold the hopewith you to keep planting trees to solve the root of the broken hydrological cycle which is deforestation. The more trees we can plant and grow to maturity on the Equator the better chance we have for halthy rain and snow cuycles all around the globe. Thank you for your continued support. Evewry tree makes a difference.
