Everyone learns differently. We understand. For 23 years, LPLC has been working with students, families and schools to understand and overcome obstacles to learning. The goal of the Pathways to All project is to expand our one-on-one services for students with learning and attention challenges by removing financial barriers to education. Regardless of income, this project seeks to create pathways to learning for EVERYONE.
One in five students struggle with a learning or attention challenge. When left untreated, these challenges have a profound, negative impact on a student's life which can result in failing to develop on grade level skills, dropping out school, depression, and suicide. Students in low-income areas are more likely to experience these negative outcomes because they're often served by teachers who don't have the training needed to successfully meet the needs of all learners.
The Pathways to All project seeks to solve this problem by providing our scientific, evidence-based services to students with learning and attention challenges in low-income areas. Funding for this project will enable us to deliver customized intervention services for learners with attention and learning challenges in at-risk communities and work collaboratively with teachers and schools to build their capacity to work with the 1 in 5 students who struggle with learning and attention challenges.
90% of the student's who receive our services meet or exceed their learning goals. When students are able to overcome obstacles to learning, they are set on a pathway that leads to future success. The students who are able to receive our services because of this project, will be more likely to develop on grade level skills, graduate high school, attend college and find success in life.
