Inspiring Student Story
Emelyse is a 17-year-old girl who lives with her mother and three siblings in a house built by her uncle. Her father left the family four years ago, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
Her mother works by farming other people’s land to provide for the family’s daily needs. Emelyse’s education was previously supported by Caritas Rwanda, but the support ended when she reached grade nine. Despite these challenges, she persevered, passed the national examination, and is now in grade ten, specializing in teaching sciences to primary school students.
She enjoys teaching young children and dreams of becoming a professional teacher in the future.
