During the period from July 1 to September 30, we continued supporting 21 high school students through our scholarship program: 16 returning students and 5 new recipients. In July, six students graduated, and we are also supporting four university students. Our scholarships cover tuition, transportation, school supplies, and internships, and recipients are selected based on financial need and academic performance.
Inspiring Student Story
Theophile, 16, is the second of four children. He has lived with his mother and siblings since 2018, after his father left the family. With no land to farm, his mother worked on neighbors’ fields, often providing only one meal a day.
Despite frequent challenges such as lack of school supplies, unpaid school fees, and being sent home, Theophile never gave up. He passed the Grade Nine National Examination with the highest score in his school (92%).
He is now in Grade 10, studying Language Teaching at a Teacher Training College (School of Excellence). His dream is to become a primary school teacher.
