Girls from ethnic minority hill tribe communities in Northern Thailand face disproportionate risk of trafficking, child marriage, and exploitation. Poverty and statelessness make it nearly impossible for families to afford education. While schooling is free, the hidden costs of uniforms, books, transportation place school out of reach. Without access to education, many girls are forced into sex work, low-wage labor or early marriage, perpetuating cycles of poverty and vulnerability.
Pathway to Promise eliminates the barriers that prevent girls from completing their education. The program provides scholarships, safe housing, tutoring, uniforms, transportation, and mentorship from childhood through university or vocational school. By addressing both material needs and emotional support, the program ensures girls not only stay in school but thrive academically and socially.
