Gender inequality continues to hold girls and young women back from the opportunities they deserve. Many lives in communities that often violate their rights and dignity especially in regards to sexual and reproductive health and right. In Bamenda, many young girls become pregnant because of lack of sexual and reproductive health information. Integrated Agricultural Association has designed SRHR program for underserved youths in Bamenda to break stearotypes and improve sexual and reproductive health of vulnerable girls. The aim of the program is to empower vulnerable girls with knowledge and skills to take care of their health and development as they macture into sexually healthy adults.
Integrated Agricultural Association (I.A.A) held a training and support workshop with 35 young girls and boys between 8 and 24 years in Bamenda, on menstrual hygiene management, Sexually transmissible diseases, COVID-19 prevention and safe sex practices. Participants received menstrual pads and kits as support during menstruation. Over 50 children have been impacted with SRHR information and resources in the past three months. Thanks to the generosity of donors at home and abroad who made it possible. I.A.A continues to welcome your donation of any amount to continue this incredible work for girls and young women in Bamenda and beyond. Your donation will make a great difference.
