Kamboo Project started emergency care package during covid pademic and would like to continuce as it is really importance and the right need of the community and children who are impacted by covid lockdown. Emergency food package is address the immediate needs of families impact by the economic, social, and health disruptions caused by the Covid 19 padamic in Cambodia. 

Again, The long-term impact of this project is to inspire hope, show love and provide happiness to these children and the communities as Education is a key to raising out of poverty.

The food supply packages included 20kg of rice, soy sauces, fish sauces and a box of noodles. However, it is a short term solution to the need of these families, it will motivate the parent to keep their children at achool. 

Thank you very much to the Donors and Supportor who gave the Kamboo Project and opportunity to continuce our work as well as helping the community to keep continuce helping them self. We have helped 100 learner so far and we do want to continuce this project to reach more family. We have work really closely with school principals to provide to the right families.

While this response is a short-term solution to the needs of these families, it will motivate the parent to continue sending their children to go to school, however life are difficult but education can help them in the future. It is also an example of helping each other, everyone should help each other while they are in need.

Dear Donor and Supporter,

In October 2020, with the help of a new sponsor, the South East Asia Foundation, we distributed food packages to students in the Prasat Bakong district for the first time. Food aid is not really part of our self-imposed mission, but where help is needed and funds are available, it is right that we contribute. We have also worked with monks from Wat Kesararm and Wat Domnak temples who have distributed food parcels to villagers around Tonle Sap Lake and to families in Kleang district, Kampong Thom province.

This November, we partnered with Rural School Support Organization (RSSO), which provides the most urgent food to those most in need. The RSSO is a non-governmental organization , established only in 2019, and seeks to maintain food supplies in the Covid-19 pandemic for families at massive risk of hunger with the help of primarily US donations. Now we have a commitment from the RSSO to support us with a grant that will fund three more months of food assistance. Together with the teachers, we select the neediest hundred students. Unfortunately, the need for food aid far exceeds our budget and we are doing our best to identify those most in need. In this quarter, We have already contribute to one primary school with 42learners.

We are still looking for more support to continuce this project. Sharing is caring.

Because the measures to combat the pandemic cut off the population in the villages from work and earning opportunities and from access to basic food supplies. Since January 2021, we put together care packages of food supply to 3primary schools, around 100 learners and We also collaborated with our network and friend, named Mr Andreas and the monks from Wat Kesararm&Wat Domnak, who delivered the food relief packages to the villagers around Tonle Sap and families in the Kleang district in Kampong Thom province.

The financial cost of the parcels is not very high, but the help provided with them is valuable and highly welcomed by the families. In addition to the food, Anlong Pi in particular was affected by severe restrictions, including travel bans. Thus the way to the daily food support was also blocked. Since our local team was of course not allowed to travel in the region, we handed over the food for the neediest families to the local authorities, who then took care of the distribution. For this, our great thanks also go to the staff there, who are on the front line and do not have an easy task.
