PACH 2020 Vision is Already Underway!

Thanks to our dedicated and generous community of supporters, we are thrilled to announce that our PACH 2020 Vision campaign was a huge success!  Between your GlobalGiving contributions, the Giving Tuesday match, and offline contributions, we reached our fundraising goal, which will in turn allow us to reach the most vulnerable communities in Ecuador.

2020 is already off to an impactful start.  In addition to the daily services and affordable, inclusive, high-quality health care the FIBUSPAM team is providing for their community, we have also completed our first vision health mission of the new decade!  Thanks to Dr. Schwartz, Dr. Yap, Professor Ray Dennis, and a group of outstanding volunteers, we are on our way to meeting our goal of providing 20/20 vision for 20 new communities in 2020!  621 individuals in 5 rural Chimborazo communities accessed full vision screenings, with 169 receiving prescription glasses and another 147 diagnosed as having cataracts, with the opportunity to receive surgery at the FIBUSPAM clinic this year.

We want to express our abundant gratitude once again for everyone that contributed to the campaign.  Together we can put health care in reach for those that need it most, and empower our local partners to build a system that provides for everyone, and includes everyone.
