To overcome their economic crises and recover from their economic distress. Paamonim tailored its solutions to alleviate the particular difficulties faced by each individual family. Paamonim's programs for these families included long-term economic coaching, focused counseling, group economic recovery programs, and various combinations of the above.
About 4,000 people took part in Paamonim's group programs for preventive guidance and financial education, and tens of thousands more people acquired tools and tips for correct economic household management through Paamonim's newsletters, as well as through its Internet site.
During the last quarter the Internet site was reconstructed in order to serve as a substantial resource for Paamonim's financial education programs and independent study units.
A number of volunteer trainings began during the last quarter. They consisted of 6 sessions of 3 hours each over a period of 6 weeks. In addition, The first of the annual enrichment courses for existing volunteers were held. Volunteers are the backbone of Paamonim's activities, and their satisfactory training is of the greatest importance and value to Paamonim.
In the last quarter, Paamonim has been operating a special program in the spirit of Shmitta for the benefit of selected Paamonim families who have made positive, long-term changes in their consumer habits, but have remained in crushing debt. Paamonim has negotiated with creditors, arranged payment plans and sent up a special Shmitta Fund to clear some of their debts.
Also, during the last quarter, Paamonim volunteers helped over 1,500 families through counseling, tutoring and economic rehabilitation.
