Medic Outpost is continuing to work in Texas along the border. We are working to build healthcare capacity in the isolated communities on the border in Presidio and Brewster counties of Texas. To date we have evaluated and trained over 50 people in this area. Medic Outpost is in the last phase of registration with the State of Texas to become a Community Health Worker training center. That should be in place by mid September of this year.
We have started our assistance program for our state parks and wildlife rangers and staff. One park down and a lot more to go. South Llano River State Park's staff has been trained in CPR and AED and I will continue to move from park to park as the schedule permits throught the Summer and Fall.
Our goal for this year includes purchase of a cargo trailer to allow Medic Outpost to carry all of our training equipment and supplies to assist rural first responders in the US and on our La Frontera Project. This way we can provide additonal much needed equipment to the rural services and population.
