Because sexual violence, especially sexual exploitation and abuse, is prevalent in Liberia, UNICEF provided funding for THINK to conduct a vigorous campaign for the prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and other forms of sexual violence, in ten communities of three counties: Montserrado, Margibi and Grand Bassa for six months. We began with the training of 30 Trainers including 5 trainers from THINK, 5 trainers from the Liberia Association of Psychosocial Services (LAPS), who are now Community Mobilizer Facilitators and 20 Community Mobilizers consisting of 10 Youth and 10 Community Leaders from the ten communities we will be working with. We chose two thirds of the participants to be men and male youth, as we intend to have many men and male youth becoming champions to prevent SEA at the community level. IsraAID conducted the two weeks training.
