The EBOLA Virus Disease (EVD) has sprinted across West Africa infecting over 20,000 people. Awareness and preventative training is the best way to outrun the epidemic. THINK (Touching Humanity In Need of Kindness) has been working with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to raise awareness in communities throughout Liberia.
Because the death toll has affected whole families, it has left many children orphaned. Caring for and finding suitable homes for these kids is a challenge in a country where 60 percent of the population are children under the age of 18. In addition we are faced with the daily challenge of trying to care for and protect the many kids that are affected by Gender Based Violence.
We are in a race for "No New Cases" This project will help out run Ebola in Liberia, and provide care for and protection for the many children that have been affected by its grip.
Sustainable action is required to out run the spread of the disease. Children will be protected, schools will reopen, and people will be able to return to work. With your help, we can save lives and help restore families.
