The THINK Safe Home and Juvenile Home continue to provide shelter and protection THINK safe and juvenile homes presently have 18 residents (7 boys under-five, and 11 girls) The latest admission of 5 children, 4 boys, and 1 girl, were referred to THINK by the Ministry of Labor through the Women and Children Protection Section of the Liberia National Police. They are victims of Human Trafficking. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, THINK continues to provide awareness in our shelter and in the community. The State of Emergency pronounced by the President of Liberia was lifted in August 2020 but new cases are still being reported by the Incident Management Team of the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia. As of August 24, 2020, there is a total of 1,321 confirmed cases reported in Liberia, Active confirmed cases: 106, and 20 deaths. THINK continues to receive donations of food and nonfood items from local organizations and the Liberia Red Cross to help with the care and support of children in our safe home and Juvenile Home.
