The THINK Safe Home and Juvenile Home continue to provide shelter and protection

THINK safe and juvenile homes presently have 13 residents (3 boys under-five, and 10 girls)
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, THINK has joined in the awareness efforts in our shelter and in the community. The children have a good understanding of what Coronavirus is, how the virus spreads, and how it can be prevented. They have been taught to make face masks by their Social Worker, using African fabric, and are enjoying creativity as they make their masks.
The State of Emergency was pronounced by the President of Liberia that took effect on April 10, 2020, and will last for 60 days, depending on the trend of new cases being reported by the Incident Management Team of the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia. As of May 11, 2020, there is a total of 211 confirmed cases, Active confirmed cases: 106, and 20 deaths.
During this State of Emergency, Donations of food and non-food items have been received from a local NGO, Teach For Liberia, a Go-Fund-Me donation page was set up online by HEAL, Inc. to raise support for two safe homes in Liberia, THINK Safe Home and Women Aid, Inc Safe Home.
