Achievements
THINK has continued to provide 24 hours shelters and services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, including victims human trafficking and children that come in contact or conflict with the law. All of the children received initial medical assessment, medical follow-up visits, and for some of them, they were taken for follow up investigations with the police at the offices of the Women and Children Protection Section (WACPS) at the LNP Central Police Station.
THINK is doing her best to keep the protection of women and children as a priority issue in the new government. Our aim is to provide a safe and confidential shelter where victims and survivors can have their basic needs met while they receive psychosocial support, access medical care, legal aid, and rehabilitation. As donor funding gets scarce, we are doing our best to keep you informed of what we are doing to keep our much-needed services operational for the children and survivors of violence in Liberia. As our advocacy continues, we are very hopeful that a new law on Domestic Violence will be passed this year!
You have been an important part of this initiative for which we are very grateful. THANK YOU!
