THINK has been on the road from Monrovia to Kakata, Margibi County on Friday, February 6, 2015 taking 100 dignity kits to widows and female survivors of Ebola Vius Disease (EVD) and Gender Based Violence (GBV).
The kits were provided by the Embassy of Sweden in collaboration with UNFPA and the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Gender, Children & Social Protection and the Ministry of Health. Ten survivors were on the scene and received their dignity kits comprising of a double size matress and a bag of personal items, hyiene materials and beding.
The message was "You are not alone. Once there is life, there is hope"
On Monday, February 9, 2015, THINK made the trip to Gbarnga, Bong County to take 100 dignity kits to widows and survivirs of EVD and GBV there as well. Distributions in Gbarnga started yesterday.
The women extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the dignity kits that replaced personal items that were burned while they were in the ETUs.
Dignity kits are also being distributed already in Grand Cape Mount County and Bomi County.
