Donations directly cover facility rent, utilities, and administrative essentials, ensuring a safe, stable environment. Additionally these funds allow us to provide professional, barrier-free counseling and guidance to those in need. By securing our operational backbone, every contribution directly translates into accessible human care.
Slovakia ranks among the EU countries with the lowest levels of legal protection and social acceptance of LGBTI+ people and their families. Instead of finally progressing towards equality, LGBTI+ people are faced with constant attempts to further restrict their rights. Even after the horrifying attack in front of Teplaren, one of the few LGBTI+ safe spaces in Bratislava, we are witnessing a concerning wave of hatred against the community. We will not let this hatred win.
This project tackles the problem by securing the essential core funding needed to keep our doors open and our services accessible. By covering operational costs like rent and utilities, we ensure a stable, safe haven for the LGBTI+ community. Most importantly, this funding removes financial barriers for individuals in crisis, allowing us to provide professional counseling, support groups, and vital legal aid completely free of charge-directly shifting them from isolation to empowerment.
