Title: Free Medical Camp Organized in Remote Areas of Dera Ismail Khan, KPK
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation organized a free medical camp in a remote area of Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing essential healthcare services through its Mobile Health Units.
A total of 132 beneficiaries received medical care, including 64 women, 45 men, and 23 children.
This initiative is part of Alkhidmat’s ongoing efforts to deliver accessible healthcare to underserved and hard-to-reach communities.
Story / Update
Access to basic healthcare remains a major challenge in many remote areas of DI Khan, where residents often lack nearby hospitals, clinics, and medical professionals. Women and children are especially vulnerable due to limited mobility and financial constraints.
To address this gap, Alkhidmat Foundation deployed its Mobile Health Unit to the area, setting up a free medical camp staffed with qualified doctors and paramedical staff. Patients received general medical check-ups, consultations, free medicines, and health guidance.
The camp successfully served 64 women, 45 men, and 23 children, many of whom were receiving medical attention for the first time in months. Community members expressed deep appreciation for the doorstep healthcare services, which saved them time, travel costs, and hardship.
