Urgent Healthcare to Flood-Affected Families

By Muhammad Imad Ud Din | Project Leader

Title: Alkhidmat Medical Camps Providing Urgent Healthcare to Flood-Affected Families in Bajwat and Kothay Sharaf Deen

Summary

Alkhidmat Foundation organized medical camps in the flood-affected areas of Bajwat and Kothay Sharaf Deen, where 310 flood-affected individuals received free medical checkups, treatment, and medicines.

Specialist doctors and certified paramedical staff are providing healthcare services to families affected by floods, ensuring timely medical care to prevent disease outbreaks.

Since August 16, Alkhidmat Foundation has been delivering critical flood relief and healthcare services across Pakistan, reaching more than 200,000 people through its ongoing humanitarian efforts.

Story / Update

The recent floods severely impacted several districts, including Bajwat and Kothay Sharaf Deen, leaving many families exposed to unsafe and stagnant water. As a result, health issues such as scabies, diarrhea, skin infections, and water-borne diseases are rapidly spreading in these regions.

To respond effectively, Alkhidmat Foundation deployed mobile health units and established temporary medical camps staffed with specialist doctors and trained paramedics. Patients received complete medical checkups, diagnostic tests, and free medicines to manage common post-flood illnesses.

These camps are not just offering treatment but also providing health awareness to prevent disease spread, helping communities recover with dignity and resilience.

Beneficiaries

  • Direct Impact: 310 flood-affected individuals treated at medical camps in Bajwat and Kothay Sharaf Deen.

  • Indirect Impact: Hundreds of families benefited from improved community health and preventive awareness.

Impact

  • Provided free medical care and medicines to vulnerable flood victims.

  • Prevented potential disease outbreaks in flood-hit areas.

  • Raised community awareness about hygiene and water-borne disease prevention.
