The Northwest and Southwest Regions of Cameroon are seriously affected by food crises caused by socio-political tensions. Many people in these areas have been displaced, losing their homes. jobs, access to medical care and education. They endure violence, food insecurity and generally live miserable lives. Mbiame New Vision have been working to to create food self-sufficiency by the provision of specific agricultural grants which will lead to increased use and better management of the land.

Training 200 displaced young women in organic farming through capacity building seminars/ workshops, hands-on training and provision of seeds and startup capital of CFA 100 000 for sustainable farm initiatives. Ten groups of 20 women, primarily from the Mbororo minority group in the villages of Mbam-et-Kim, will be selected to participate
Those who have completed the training are expected to obtain food security for themselves and their families and at the same time contribute positively to the local economy, bringing an improvement in overall living conditions to the area. It is anticipated that the newly empowered women will use their new skills and knowledge to help others and expand the project to other villages.
