We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Oral Rehydration for 5,000 Children with Diarrhea project. Your contribution shows care for children facing life-threatening conditions. However, the donations received so far are still not enough to begin the planned distribution of treatment.
Across many communities in Nigeria, children continue to suffer from diarrhea without timely access to simple treatment. Families in rural and low-income areas often struggle to obtain oral rehydration solution and zinc, even though these are known to prevent severe dehydration and death.
When treatment is delayed, dehydration can set in quickly, placing young children at serious risk. Many parents are left without the knowledge or resources to respond early, increasing the chances of complications.
This project is designed to provide oral rehydration solution and zinc for 5,000 children, while also supporting caregivers with guidance on how to manage diarrhea at home. Local health workers will help ensure treatment reaches families quickly and is used correctly.
With the right support, many of these preventable deaths can be avoided, and children can recover safely from illness.
We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this program and reach children who need urgent care.
