The school year has ended in Kenya and schools are closed until the the next year begins in January. When schools are on holiday, it is always a very busy time at the Library. Hundreds of children come every day to learn, study and play during this Camp Time. The student in our Prep for Success Program continue to work with the Kiwimbi teaching assistants to keep their acedemic skills strong.
Children from schools we don't work intensly with come for art lessons, reading time, math skills work, as well as activities and games. All the children play chess, soccer, basketball, tennis, jump rope, tug-of-war, golf and more. Every child at the Library present when lunch is served is provided with a nutritious meal.
Camp time is always a busy and productive time for the students at the Kiwimbi Library.
