The students in our Prep for Success Program at our three Focus Schools continue to work hard. The lessons are planned to work on strong foundational skills in math and English in order to support their efforts on the KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education) which is given in English. They have taken several government administered practice tests of the KCPE and several children have scored the highest marks that students in our program have ever received!
In fact Wendy, a student at Kidek which is the most underserved and poorest of the schools where we work, just scored a 405/500 which is the highest score ever at her school! The official exam will be given in the late fall.
We are so proud of the detemination of the students and the Kiwimbi teaching assistants.
