In April 2014, we created a new partnership with Reading Rainbow to use the app in a school environment to help children learn to read in a school. We are excited about this new development as it allows us to try multiple interventions to help children learn to read. This is important given the differences in learning styles and needs among children.
Given the success of the project so far, we have been asked by school district officials to consider expanding the project to the rest of the school district. A total of 105 schools. While it would be a great opportunity to scale up the project the funding needed to do is not available and so many children who would otherwise benefit from the project will not be able to.
While we continue to make strides challenges remain in terms of providing adequate suspport due to lack of funding which has in turn negatively impacted implementation. Without additional funding from donors the project risks premature closure and we wish to encourage donors to consider supporting the project with a financial donation. An additional 15,000 dollars is required to successfuly implement the project.
