We need your help. We must raise the necessary dollars to continue our programming through the end of the year and into 2024. Right now, Voice for Humanity Uganda's operations are at stake of being disrupted, affecting the critical work we are doing in equipping refugee youth to produce their own food and become self-reliant during a food crisis and ration cuts. Around 500 young people are currently benefiting from our agricultural program and need continued mentorship and technical support.
Many organizations in Uganda have suffered from a funding shortfall in 2023. Without urgent administrative costs being covered, such as rent and staff salaries, Voice for Humanity Uganda's work cannot continue to its fullest. Your support towards our operating expenses will directly enable refugee youth to receive comprehensive agricultural training and continued mentorship from Voice for Humanity staff.
The funds will enable us to pay for critical operational costs vital for the continuity of our important work. With these funds, our staff will be able to continue providing the much needed technical mentorship and guidance to over 500 youths that are currently benefiting from our agricultural programs, helping them to be able to produce their own food and become self reliant. This will also enable us to mobilize needed resources for our planned self-sustainability mixed farm project.
These funds will enable Voice for Humanity Uganda to continue providing agricultural technical support to refugee youth in 2024. Furthermore, the organization has secured a 10-acre piece of land for a mixed farm self-sustainability project that will generate revenue for the organization. This urgent support will enable us to continue planning the implementation of our long-term self-sustainability project, eventually eliminating the need to raise funds for urgent operational support.
