$10 will buy 2 hive tools to operate 2 beekeeping organizations
To start beekeeping simple and it doesn’t need a huge capital but in reality a lot work is done and a lot of time is involved.
In the past people were doing this as a hobby. Beekeeping is like farming you have to stay on top of the market demands and deliver the honey at the right time, and right place.
Since we started working in Onura many women knew only one thing that honey is sweet but had no idea if it can be operated as a business. With training most know now; that beekeeping gives ripple incomes to get local women out of extreme poverty; that beekeeping gives candles for lighting; that beekeeping provides high nutritious food value; that beekeeping provides medicines to small children. These benefits were derived through training by our Beekeeping trainers.
This project is doing well and it has support of Onura village. The first group women that received bee-hives are now operating their beekeeping enterprise independently. Hope Ofiriha remains impressive with the outcomes of this effort.
But we are facing the challenges of money to help more women. We are hoping you will continue with us in a battle against poverty. We are looking for 10 people to sign up for recurring monthly donation. We ask you to sign for $10 – only. Having $10 from 10 different people each month is better than 10 people donating $1200 at once in December as “Christmas gift”. $10 each month is a big amount in Africa. In charity there is no small or big amount. Each cent counts!
Thanks to our donors! Thanks to GlobalGiving! Without your support we have no way to help. Three plastic jerry-cons and six bee-hives were distributed to three women in March.
In three months to come we will bring the new project updates and to tell you what the impact of your contributions is making in lives of women in south Sudan.
On May 2, 2011 GlobalGiving Recurring Donation begins at 12:01 am EDT! This is a great opportunity for you to sign up for monthly recurring donations only $10.
Why recurring donations?
Recurring donations are a consistent and reliable source of income for our organization. This helps us in planning our activities several months ahead.
By making a recurring donation, you pledge to give to your project every month. GlobalGiving will automatically deduct the donation amount from your credit card each month.
Hope Ofiriha appreciates that you give monthly only $10 than to donate $120 in December as one time gift. $10 each month is a lot of money and it will go a long way to make a huge difference in South Sudan and Uganda. In Hope Ofiriha there are no small or big amounts. Every cents count!
We need a total of 10 people to sign up for a monthly recurring donation of only $10 each month. Could you join us please!
GlobalGiving is giving away $12,000 in bonus awards during this campaign!
Here are the main reasons why you should consider signing up for monthly recurring donations to Hope Ofiriha;
The final results of this campaign will be adjudicated in August 2011. Bonuses will be awarded based on the amount raised and the number of unique recurring donors at this time. In some cases, projects may forfeit bonus awards if donors cancel their recurring donations before the awards are given.
