It has been 4 months since our last report on our Learning Project for the Blind students in our nation. Thanks to GlobalGiving and other local Foundations and Donors we are continuing with the Virtual Learning Project for these students. Todate 28 of these Blind students are closely monitored by our 3 Visually Impaired coaches. Our Project has also received additional funding support of about USD5,000.00 early this year to engage even more students.
Challenges
Due to spike in Covid-19 cases our nation has been in conditional lockdown since October 2020 and in December 2020 our nation is now in full lockdown which has interrupted school learning. In our last report we have mentioned that our Project has been hampered by the lack of devices available for this Blind students to learn remotely. As of now we are still affected by this problem and is still seeking for devices donations to help many of this students. To date we can only engage Students who have access to these Smart Devices and also Connectivity.

We have managed to secure enough sponsorship to provide free Online Tuition and Coaching Aid to 50 Blind Students studying in 5 Special Schools nationwide thanks to GlobalGiving and other local Malaysian Corporates and Public Agencies' kind donations. In addition to these Blind Students, we are also employing 3 Visually Impaired Graduates to be their Online Tutors and Coaches
Thru collaboration with our nation's largest education content provider, we are in the process of renovating their existing Online Learning platform be inclusive and accessible for the Visually and other Impaired students ages between 10-17 to use for their Education virtually remotely within their safe and comfort zones. In addition to the Education Virtual platform being able to provide quality education to this often left behind PWD communities, we are also engaging the Visually and other Impaired Graduates and Adults to be these targeted students' Coaches and Tutors. It is our mission to provide quality education that can contribute to their economic well-being thru partnerships that can elevate them out of poverty.
Some Challenges :
In view of the current pandemic we are facing some challenges to reach out to most of the students for their continuing education as most of this Impaired students have little or no access to the Devices and Connectivity to continue their learning remotely. We are still in the process of speaking to more Corporates and Foundations to donate this devices that can enable this students to continue with their education irregardless of the Pandemic that has much affected this students education.
