On June 16th 2025, as partner NGO, we joined in celebrating the Day of the African Child at Mwala, Machakos. This year’s theme being planning and budgeting for children rights: progress since 2010.
Our children, who have been part of the Nafasi program in Masii, delivered a moving drama presentation highlighting the effects of drug abuse and the importance of children’s rights. Their performance was not only powerful but also educational, as they boldly shared messages of courage, protection, and the importance of speaking up. They even reminded the audience of the Child Helpline number 116, encouraging children to seek help whenever in danger.
The confidence and boldness our children displayed on stage was a reflection of the safe space, guidance, and support they've received through the Nafasi Project. It was a proud moment to witness them use their voices for change and a reminder of the potential that lies within every child when given the right tools and environment.
Thank you to all our supporters for making this possible. Your continued generosity empowers these young voices and builds a safer, brighter future for children in Kenya.
