In the second week of the Nafasi Project, we continued creating a safe and empowering environment for children in Masii, Machakos County. The week focused on building essential life skills and enhancing personal development.

On Day 1, the children were introduced to life skills by a professional trainer, laying the foundation for self-growth and decision-making. Individual counseling sessions continued daily, offering personalized support for each child to process emotions and experiences in a safe and private setting.

On Day 2, the focus was on self-awareness helping the children understand who they are, their strengths, and how their emotions affect their choices. Day 3 introduced self-esteem through an engaging activity called “The River of My Life,” where participants reflected on their personal journeys and milestones, fostering deeper self-understanding.

On Day 4, children explored the dimensions of self including physical, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects and built on their understanding of self-esteem. These sessions encouraged honest self-reflection, empathy, and assertiveness.

The program ended on a high note with a talent show on Day 5, featuring dance, drama, poetry, and art. The event was vibrant and emotional, as children confidently expressed themselves and celebrated the personal growth they had experienced over the two weeks.

Your continued support is helping us transform lives empowering children with the skills, confidence, and hope they need for a better future. Thank you for being part of this journey.
