The Nafasi Project, launched in Masii Location, Machakos County, is dedicated to reducing early pregnancy and juvenile delinquency while enhancing the life skills of children aged 11 to 15 during school holidays. By providing a safe and supportive space, the project offers children access to play, learning materials, nutritious meals, and counseling services. Over a 10-day period, we aim to create a nurturing environment where children can relax, express themselves, and gain vital knowledge to protect their future.
In the first week, our focus was on group and individual counseling sessions led by trained counselors.
These sessions provided a safe outlet for children to talk about their experiences, emotions, and fears. Group activities encouraged peer support and helped children feel less isolated, while one-on-one sessions offered more personalized attention for those dealing with trauma or unique challenges.
Through these interactions, children began to build self-esteem, develop communication skills, and understand how to navigate life choices more confidently.
We are grateful for your continued contributions to expand our reach and impact even more lives.
