One Pair of Shoes, One Step Toward Hope
Project Progress Report

Project Goal: $1,000
Amount Raised: $542
Remaining: $458
Donations Received: 7
Target: 100 children
Project Duration: 1 year
A Pair of Shoes Is More Than a Pair of Shoes
For a child living in poverty, something as ordinary as a pair of school shoes can feel like a dream.
While many children begin their school day by putting on shoes without thinking twice, some children in underserved communities in Pakistan face a very different reality. They may walk to school barefoot or continue wearing worn-out footwear because their families must choose between food, household needs, school expenses, and other necessities.
For these children, the journey to school can begin with pain, embarrassment, and uncertainty.
But a simple pair of durable shoes can change that journey.
It can protect small feet from injuries and infections. It can help a child walk to school with greater confidence. It can reduce one financial burden on a struggling family. Most importantly, it can send a powerful message to a child:
“You matter. Your education matters. Your future matters.”
Our Progress
We are deeply grateful to the 7 generous donors who have already supported this project.
Together, they have helped us raise:
$542 of $1,000
This means that more than half of our fundraising goal has already been reached.
We still need:
$458 to complete the $1,000 goal.
Every contribution brings us closer to reaching children who need something as basic—and as important as safe school footwear.
The Challenge We Are Addressing
In communities affected by extreme poverty, parents often struggle to provide even the most necessities for their children.
School expenses can become overwhelming when families are already struggling to afford food, clothing, housing, healthcare, and transportation.
A pair of school shoes may therefore become an unaffordable expense.
Children without appropriate footwear can face exposure to:
For some children, these challenges contribute to irregular school attendance and can become another obstacle to remaining in education.
We believe that poverty should never determine whether a child can walk into a classroom with dignity.
Our Solution
Moses Welfare Foundation is working to provide durable school shoes to 100 children from vulnerable families in Pakistan.
The purpose is simple but meaningful:
To remove one small barrier that can stand between a child and education.
The shoes will provide practical protection while also helping children feel more confident among their classmates.
For parents facing severe financial hardship, the support will also help reduce the pressure of purchasing essential school items.
Our approach is not simply about distributing footwear.
It is about supporting a child's safety, dignity, confidence, and opportunity to learn.
Why This Matters
Education is one of the strongest pathways out of poverty.
But education does not begin when a child opens a textbook.
It begins when a child is able to make the journey to school.
For a child walking barefoot, every step can be uncomfortable. For a child who feels ashamed of having no proper shoes, every school day can become emotionally difficult.
A new pair of shoes cannot solve poverty on its own.
But it can remove one barrier.
And sometimes, removing one barrier is the first step toward something much bigger.
A child takes a step toward school.
A step toward learning.
A step toward confidence.
A step toward opportunity.
A step toward a different future.
The Human Impact
Imagine a child looking down at their feet before leaving home for school.
There may be no expensive backpack.
There may be no new uniform.
There may be no comfortable transport waiting outside.
But when that child receives a new pair of school shoes, something changes.
They can walk with greater comfort.
They can enter the classroom without feeling different because they are barefoot.
They can participate in school life with greater confidence.
And they can feel that someone outside their immediate family believes in their future.
That is the kind of impact we want this project to create.
Our Long-Term Vision
We want this project to be more than a one-time distribution of shoes.
Our broader goal is to help vulnerable children remain connected to education and develop the confidence and opportunities they need to build better futures.
When children attend school regularly, receive educational support, and grow up with dignity and encouragement, they have a stronger opportunity to break the cycle of poverty.
Supporting a child's education today can contribute to a healthier, more educated, and more empowered community tomorrow.
We Are More Than Halfway There
Thanks to our donors, $542 has already been raised.
We now have $458 remaining to reach the full project goal of $1,000.
We are asking compassionate supporters to help us complete this journey.
The remaining amount may look small compared with the challenges faced by vulnerable communities, but for a child who has been walking without proper shoes, it can mean a world of difference.
One pair of shoes can protect a child's feet.
One gift can restore dignity.
One step can lead toward education.
And one act of kindness can remind a child that their future matters.
A Message to Our Donors
To every person who has already supported this project:
Thank you.
Your generosity has helped move this project forward and brought us closer to reaching vulnerable children.
To those considering supporting the remaining $458:
We invite you to become part of this journey.
Your gift will not simply purchase footwear.
It will help a child walk toward school with greater safety, dignity, and confidence.
Because sometimes, changing a life begins with something as simple as helping a child take the next step.
Together, let's make every step count.
