Poverty can affect a child's educational opportunities, and limited education can in turn restrict future opportunities. Good Cause Foundation Uganda believes that supporting vulnerable children to remain in school can help create pathways toward a more hopeful future.
Our education project provides school fees, scholastic materials, and school lunch to children from underprivileged and underserved communities. We particularly focus on children joining secondary school and seek to support them throughout their six years of secondary education.
Our work also recognizes the importance of skills beyond secondary school. For learners who qualify for tertiary education or vocational training, we aim to provide opportunities to pursue practical skills and certification.
Objectives:
To increase educational opportunities for children from disadvantaged communities.
To reduce financial barriers to secondary education.
To provide scholastic materials required for effective learning.
To support school feeding for vulnerable learners.
To improve retention and completion of secondary education.
To facilitate access to tertiary and vocational training.
To promote practical skills and certification that can strengthen young people's future livelihood opportunities.
When you support education, you are investing in knowledge, confidence, skills, and possibilities that can extend far beyond the classroom.
